Commonwealth stars coming to Netball London Live 2018!

The whole netball community is still buzzing with excitement following England Netball’s historic win at the Commonwealth Games in the early hours of Sunday morning.

And, we’re delighted that fans will be able to see international stars from a variety of nations at Netball London Live this year.

Loughborough Lightning will no doubt count England Netballer and Gold medal winner Beth Cobden in their squad after her superb performance at the Commonwealth Games.  She’ll put the defensive pressure on the Storm attack and attempt to stop them getting to ball into the circle.

Ugandan captain and 2017 Superleague Player of the Year Peace Proscovia will also be featuring for Lightning and will be looking to secure top spot in the league-wide shooting table with a confident Copper Box performance.

But, Surrey Storm’s South African sharp shooter Sigi Burger will be there to convert any balls that penetrate the shooting circle.  Her shooting record at the Commonwealth Games was phenomenal with a 94.7% average conversion rate!

She’ll go up against another Loughborough Lightning international player in the shape of Jamaican bronze medal winner, Shamera Sterling.  Her defensive pressure in the CWG semi-final against England was breathtaking so Storm will be paying particularly close attention to Shamera!
